Her practice incorporates the partial which may be the beginning of something, what’s left at the end or simply a segment of a larger story. Almost impossible to photograph, her threaded work becomes like an embracing shadow which we can only see part of at any one time.” @jillaroo @wsimagazine Kate Terry is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University (BA hons Sculpture 1999) and the University of Guelph, Canada (MFA Fine Art 2002). She has had recent solo exhibitions at Broadway Gallery, Letchworth; Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, USA; Volker Diehl Cube, Berlin; and Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, and recent exhibitions in Paris, Berlin, and Vienna. She co-curated ‘New Relics’, a large survey Sculpture exhibition with Tim Ellis in 2018. She teaches Sculpture and Drawing & Conceptual Practice at Camberwell College of Arts, London. Her work explores architectural space, geometry, balance, and colour. Currently she is developing new works for sculpture gardens and the public realm.
